The top positive review was this one :
I’ve been wanting a White’s Metal Detector for years and finally bought one! I had high expectations and I have not been disappointed. I’ve used it multiple times at the beach and I always find coins – in and out of the water. I don’t know if this is needed after a day at the beach but I always rinse off the sand and salt water. I haven’t used the headphones yet, so I’m not sure how they work or sound, but I have no doubt about it’s quality.
If you’re wanting versatility in a metal detector, the White’s MX Sport Metal Detector is the one for you! From searching the beach, parks and mountains looking for coins, relics or gold – you cant go wrong with the MX Sport.
The top critical review was the following:
I may have been spoiled with my old detector, but the MX sport doesn’t seem to have a good preset “coin and jewelry” program. I’m getting a lot of false readings. Steel tacks reading like quarters or a piece of iron reading like a penny. A lot of people will defend this machine and say “you just have to learn it” and play around with the settings, but I have a 20+yr old Whites machine that works great in the preset mode anywhere I go. A preset coin mode should be able to at least positively identify a copper penny or a quarter. I don’t want to dig everything that beeps.
